You rage within me. A silent storm.
A tempest with temptation to drag me through heaven.
Cutting my wrists on the divine.
I let go, disappearing into the eye of all your wonder.
Lost in your turmoil and torrential rains of change.
Category: rain
Leave us where we lay
His heart, now the colour of his wife.
Ashen grey and broken.
The urn smashed, scattering them both across the clouds.
Little flecks of life stuck on the window of the world.
As the volcanoes rumbled and the gods groaned.
Down they both came in the rains.
Licked up by the wood spirits and the humans below.
Pooling in the heart of the world.
Cells and shells, finding the seabed of the soul.
Undulating to the sound of time.
Those tears of the gods which fell in this passing.
Are drunk only by the sinners, like sweet wine.
Fade
Hold me and heal me.
Chase the darkness away.
Rock me to sleep.
Cut your wrists and then stay.
Forever in this palace of darkness and time.
Locked in a dream.
All beautiful and mine.
Forget all the world, with its promise of pain.
Hold me and fade.
Like a tear in the rain.
Bolted
The horses are wild.
Unbridled inner child, running away.
Caught in the spray, of life’s heavy rain.
Allow it to freeze, each moment in time.
As heartbeats align.
Cantering out of decay.
Don’t ask why
Through this dusty world.
Like peeking through a cloud.
Humming with red rain.
I caught you in that position.
One to wear with no remorse.
…as if I could.
You fill up my pockets.
You scratch at my soul.
A lovelorn, well-worn hand of care.
That fits me like a glove.
Waiting
Patiently we wait in the rain.
Hoping the time will come, that heralds such change.
Slowly freezing in the water as time passes.
Never knowing they’re the tears of God.
