Voyage

Soul Lines - Diary of a Soul Writer

Starting
Minds open
Hearts tempered

Enter you and I
a flitting pair of atoms
sailing earthbound streams.

Just a touch
Divine brush

Just a touch
Soulful rush

Fervent embrace
Heartfelt junction

Merging lines
Breaking bounds

Melting limbs
Burning cores

FLICKERING CRUSHES
THRUST AT HEART, FREE, TAKE OVER
AND SHAKE BUBBLE WORLDS

    • I spoke to me, i liked the styling and the franticness of it all. The lines came across like falling leaves of statements, each one calling out things and moments left to be/do. I loved the title too!

      • I am touched 😊 thank you for taking such an interest in my poetry. I am glad this piece spoke to you. It just came to me in separate installments that merged into a whole, which is exactly what you describe here. Bien sûr que tu as aimé le titre ^^ j’adore utiliser des mots anglais d’origine française.

      • Ha! that is true, i always liked the word silhouette for that reason. I like the fragments coming together notion, funny how pieces work so well sometimes that way.

      • Silhouette is a beautiful word. I also like that English speakers commonly use phrases like “joie de vivre”, “bon appétit”, “déjà vu”, “rendez-vous” Pronounced with an English accent, the words receive that extra magical touch that make them irresistible to my ear.

      • Yeah of course! Haha sorry for dropping them all at once on you. You are right. Context adds on to their power too. Without it they may feel a bit random. I got to use your favorite French-English word in my latest chapter. In context 😉
